The alien look was neccesary for it to fit within the story.

that thing is pretty kick ass... Cool looks like something from metroid...which resembles my style of monster.. is that one arm a bio-cannon?

Yea. Since the monster is a result of a virus named AIDA, the cannon is used to throw sludge-like spheres containing the AIDA virus, which will by all means, infect anyone that comes in contact with its attack. The Scythe is also a power weapon is has mutated on its other arm. However the downside to this is that both arms arn't very flexible or long. This means it will attack with a distance with it's cannon and attack in range with its sythe. I actually have a guy who acts the monster out.
