Pokemon Black and White Update242 viewsThe first details on special CoroCoro magazine; CoroCoro Special's October issue have started to come out through a Twitter. This issue confirms a new feature within Double & Triple Battles called Combination Attacks. These attacks can be joined together if you select both attacks by selecting two or more specific attacks. Three examples of these attacks include Grass Oath, Fire Oath and Water Oath. We don't know how these work exactly but we have three examples;
If you use Grass Oath and Water Oath, the moves combine to make a Moor attack which lowers your opponent's speed.
In addition to that, Fire Oath and Water Oath create a Rainbow in the sky which boosts the likelihood of secondary effects occuring for your team mates.
Grass Oath & Fire Oath creates a Field of Fire which will cause damage to the opponents each turn.
These combinations, as well as being done together, also need to be done in order. For example, for the Grass/Fire Oath one, you'll need to use Grass Oath and then Fire Oath. It is unknown if all combination moves will be like this. We'll bring more details on this brand new feature as and when it comes including and hopefully some scans & total confirmation so keep checking back.

Ticket_to_TLA.png
Ticket and review of The Last Airbender37 viewsThis is ticket I bought to see The Last Airbender. Their 7 dollars where I'm at, so that's 14 bucks into the box office.

Review:

I just got back from seeing it today, and I thought it was great! Me and my sister saw it and we enjoyed it. 14 dollars well spent!

The acting was good, Dev was bad ass. Noah was the perfect Aang. Nicola played very well and so did Jackson. Yue/Seychelle was smoken hot! The rest were good. And they DID have emotion.

Plot-wise, I understood and kept up with the pace. M. Night had to cut some things out, but it was still good.

The CG effects were breath taking! And the sets were amazing. The Northern Water Tribe looked really cool, like Minas Tirith.

Overall, it was a hell of alot better than DBE. I give it 4/5 stars

The mechanical Pokemon below is Gear (ギアル), appropriately titled the Gear Pokemon. It is a Steel-type and its ability is either “Plus” or “Minus.” It has a new attack called “Gear Saucer,” which you can see it using below - it attacks the opponent multiple times with both of its gears. It is 0.3m tall and weighs 21.0kg.

Mamepato (マメパト) is the Baby Pidgeon Pokemon and is a Normal / Flying type. Its abilities are either “Pidgeon Breast” or “Super Luck.” In a screenshot below, Mijumaru tries to lower its Defense, but it doesn’t work because one of Mamepato’s abilities prevents it. It is 0.3m tall and weighs 2.1kg.

The pink Pokemon is named Mun’na (ムンナ). It is the Dream Eater Pokemon, a Psychic-type, and has Forewarn and Synchronize as its abilities. A new attack it knows is “Telekinesis,” which makes the opponent float in the air. It is 0.6m tall and 23.3kg in weight.

The white Pokemon is named Chiramii (チラーミィ). It is the Chinchilla Pokemon, a Normal-type. Its abilities are Cute Charm and Technician and it knows a new movie called “Sweep Slap,” which hits the opponent multiple times. It is 0.4m tall and 5.8kg in weight.

The professor of Isshu is female and named Professor Araragi, as you can see below. She presents a Chiramii to the player in the “World of Pokemon” intro at the start of the game.

There is some sort of new in-game connection device called the C Gear. It has “various connection capabilities,” though we do not know what that means at this time. To the left of its screenshot below, the magazine says, “What’s this screen!?… It looks like a new wireless feature was added!”

Pokemon Black and White Mascots Revealed167 viewsThe official Japanese Pokemon website and Pokemon.com simultaneously revealed the Legendary mascots of Pokemon Black and White: they are to be named Reshiram (Left) (レシラム) and Zekrom (Right) (ゼクロム) for both the English and Japanese games. Reshiram’s name comes from “shiro,” which means “white” in Japanese, whereas Zekrom’s comes from “kuro,” which means “black.” Contrary to their color schemes, Reshiram is Pokemon Black’s mascot while Zekrom is White’s, as you can see on the official Nintendo DS box art below. According to the Japanese website, “Reshiram, with a pure-white body, will be in Pocket Monsters Black, while Zekrom, with a lacquer-black body, will appear in Pocket Monsters White. Each of them are Legendary Pokemon that have a big connection to the history of the Isshu region and hold the important key to the story.” The games will hit store shelves in September for Japan whereas Americans will see their release sometime in Spring 2011. Both Pokemon are such awesome-lookin’ legendaries - they kind of look like angels! Their designs are far more detailed than any previous Legendaries - check out those tails!May 28, 2010
