Well, one artist one style, Lovercraft never really drew Cthulhu, just described him. Since he died, many artists have taken his description of Cthulhu and made it in their own way.

Yep, a human body covered in fish scales, with huge wings, allthough unable to fly with, and the head looks like a giant octopus. That's the description Lovecraft gave, and as you've seen on the pics I upload, they're all showing that same thing.

He's an alien, so he probably had use for them. But the old ones that he belonged to was betrayed by their followers, and a curse was put, making usre the old ones cannot see the star sky. So the old ones left the party and Cthulhu was locked down in a city deep beneath the ocean where his mental powers are blocked and his wings useless.
